Uniper seeks a Quantitative Intern to join its North American team
Your responsibilities
We are looking for a quantitative intern, preferably with financial mathematics background. This is an opportunity to apply your academic knowledge on quantitative finance and optimization methods to developing models on valuing natural gas assets and physical options. The options’ valuation knowledge is key: Black-Scholes close form methods and simulation techniques. The desired candidate should also be comfortable with Python, Excel, SQL and other tools to interact with data.
Your profile
- Preferred areas of education: Financial Mathematics or Financial Engineering.
- Other quantitative fields are acceptable: Mathematics, Economics, Engineering.
- Current students and recent graduates are acceptable. We prefer a candidate on a graduate degree level.
- Problem solver, agile, flexible with responsibilities.
- Please Note: This is a paid opportunity to be based in our Houston, TX office. Full-time employment is preferred, though we are open to part-time interns. This internship is expected to start as early as mid-February and last for at least 3 months, with a possibility for an extension into the summer.
