Trading Associate
Your responsibilities
- Work with all traders/schedulers to assist with their day-to-day functional needs (deal entry, deal valuation, deal structuring etc.)
- Assist in reporting process for Front Office across Natural Gas, power and Environmental (phys. balancing check, actualization, deal entry correction/amendment)
- Valuate, book & validate non-standard transactions executed by all desks
- Act as back up for scheduling for Natural Gas, Power & environmental products scheduling
- Automate processes around trade capture system and commercial reporting
- Develop and maintain Trading analytical tools and dashboards using Python, SQL, and PowerBI
- Develop and implement trading KPIs
- Maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics and contribute to daily trading discussions and meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless trade execution and daily operational efficiency (i.e. settlement differences, PnL discrepancies)
- Participate in the development and testing of new trading strategies and initiatives.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, math or other quantitative field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and advanced excel skillset
- Intermediate coding skills (python, SQL, Power BI) & Endur ETRM/CXL experience preferably
- Work experience in a trading or financial analysis role in natural gas/power 2+yrs
- Strong level of initiative, self-motivation, and entrepreneurial spirit
- Detail orientation with strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multitask and integrate large amounts of complex information and focus on critical drivers
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster cross-functional relationships with customers and colleagues
