Your responsibilities- Provide functional and technical leadership to construction managers and discipline leads across the project portfolio, including onboarding, coaching, professional development, performance management, and the promotion of consistent leadership and execution standards.
- Develop and maintain a strong internal and external talent and resource network to ensure the timely availability of qualified construction leadership and specialist expertise in line with project demand and portfolio requirements.
- Drive a strong safety, leadership, and execution culture across construction activities, providing visible leadership and ensuring consistent application of health, safety, environmental, quality, and project delivery standards.
- Oversee construction performance across the project portfolio, monitoring key dimensions including safety, quality, schedule, cost, resources, interfaces, risks, opportunities, and continuous improvement, and translating performance insights into effective management actions.
- Develop, standardize, and continuously improve construction management frameworks, processes, organizational models, working methods, and reporting structures, strengthening consistency, efficiency, governance, and execution excellence across projects.
- Provide early construction expertise during project development and planning, contributing to tendering strategies, technical specifications, constructability and logistics reviews, and construction-related feasibility and risk assessments to improve project readiness and execution outcomes.
- Lead the management of critical construction interfaces and risks, coordinating closely with engineering, commissioning, operations, procurement, commercial and contract functions, and other stakeholders to resolve conflicts, manage deviations, and support timely, well-informed decisions.
- Strengthen organizational learning and portfolio-wide construction excellence, including knowledge management, lessons learned, best practices, benchmarking, assurance activities, strategic reviews, and the development of effective handover arrangements between construction, commissioning, and operations.
Your profile- Extensive experience in Construction and/or Site Management of large-scale infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects, ideally with responsibility spanning multiple projects or a broader portfolio.
- Proven leadership and people management experience, including workforce planning, development, coaching, and performance management of construction managers and discipline leads.
- Strong knowledge of HSSE, construction site organization, construction management, permitting, contractual requirements, and project governance, with the ability to apply these principles effectively in complex project environments.
- Practical experience in early project development and planning phases, particularly in constructability and logistics reviews, construction execution strategies, and resource planning.
- Strong strategic and operational risk management capabilities, combined with experience in performance management, standardization, and continuous improvement across multiple projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate construction teams, engineering, commissioning, operations, project leadership, and external partners.
- Strong executive communication and reporting capabilities, including the preparation and presentation of management reports, portfolio analyses, performance insights, and strategic decision papers.
