Your responsibilities
The IT Support Analyst will work as a member of the IT team in North America providing End User Computing, Infrastructure, and Cloud Computing support, as well as acting as a recognized subject matter expert regarding the applications used within Uniper Global Commodities North America. The candidate will be expected to interface with various groups within Uniper and manage transformational projects from inception to completion and be an integral part of the team. Customer Service is a key aspect io being successful in this role.
Further responsibilities may include:
- Deploy and support end user workstations, user accounts and telephony solutions
- Monitor, support, and maintain services (physical & virtual), storage and network infrastructure
- Own technical issues to resolution and anticipate potential problems
- Create and maintain system documentation
- Learn and support in-house and 3rd party software applications, manage relationships with vendors
- Provide technical assistance to traders and non-traders
- Manage backup and patching systems for infrastructure
- Manage cloud environment
- Be available for off hours and on call support work
- Align with international groups on business objectives
- Work with automation solutions
- Some travel may be required
Expected to be in the Houston office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday on a regular basis. Monday, Friday optionality to work-from-home

Your profile
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree or higher
Expert troubleshooting skills with desktop platforms
Experience with Microsoft client/server technologies
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Azure and Office 365 experience
Work with engineering teams to deploy virtual machines, storage blocks, and container services via Infrastructure as Code
Basic scripting skills using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python to automate simple tasks
A strong desire to continuously learn, as cloud platforms update their features constantly.
Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts including Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, Public/Private IPs, and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
Foundation in IT Security
Technical skills in software development and/or Power BI would be a plus
Good communication skills, self-starter, critical thinker, able to operate with autonomy
