Your responsibilities
In this role, you will take ownership of the safe, sustainable, and high-performing operation of our hydro assets in Germany, working together with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- You ensure the safe, compliant (legal, environmental, permitting), and reliable as well as commercial and technical performance (EBITDA, OPEX, CAPEX) of the hydro asset portfolio in Germany.
- You build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including authorities at regional and national level, NGOs, and local partners, in close collaboration with CCGR.
- As permit owner, you work closely with Legal and Permitting teams to maintain, adapt, and renew required permits.
- You contribute to the development and implementation of asset management strategies and ensure their effective execution.
- You drive short-term optimisation of asset operations (e.g. dispatching), always balancing safety, environmental responsibility, and commercial performance.
- You actively support the development of the plant portfolio, including transformation projects such as asset optimisation, divestments, acquisitions, or the development of multi-technology energy hubs.
- In close collaboration with Energy Asset Technical Management and Value Management, you contribute to integrated operational planning for the hydro assets.
- You ensure that all relevant certifications for both plants and office locations are maintained.
- You foster an inclusive and performance-oriented culture within Hydro Germany, encouraging collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- You drive operational excellence initiatives in hydro technologies and processes.
