Your responsibilities
Arrange for receipt of natural gas from suppliers and delivery of natural gas to our customers on a daily basis
Optimal nominations of all pipeline and storage assets in accordance with contractual data on a timely basis to the applicable receipt and delivery points
Communicate between our suppliers and customers to ensure that contractual obligations are met and nomination data is coordinated throughout the delivery chain
Enter all pertinent nomination data into the nomination systems maintained by the applicable pipeline and storage operators
Track the movement of all physical gas purchase and sales and optimize the physical flow of gas to optimize our assets and minimize the amount of transportation and storage fees and
Ensure all scheduled volumes are invoiced and billed accurately
Work with suppliers, pipelines, end user markets, and point operators to monitor and manage imbalances. When imbalances occur, must work within pipelines and other shippers to profitably reduce, eliminate, or trade those imbalances
Develop and cultivate profitable relationships with pipeline and storage operators, producers and end users
Identify incremental pipeline and storage capacity to target and capture increase the value of the trading portfolio and increase profitable
Represent the company at various business meetings and functions conducted by pipeline and storage operators, producers, and end users
Identify transportation opportunities on all active pipelines
Your profile
Four year degree is required, preferably in finance or accounting or some technical related field.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience scheduling physical gas in Gulf Coast or Midwest region pipelines and storage facilities, both interstate and intrastate.
Solid understanding of natural gas fundamentals, expert knowledge of physical gas flows, including constraints on the interstate and intrastate pipeline and storage grid.
Scheduling experience on pipelines such as Gulf South, EGT, TX Gas, FGT, Sonat, NGPL, Carthage, HPL, Sabine Hub, ANR, Alliance, Rover, Rex, Vector, etc.
Strong understanding of pipeline FERC Gas Tariffs and specific knowledge of fixed and variable rate schedules for these pipelines.
Strong relationships with pipeline and storage operators, as well as producers and various end users markets.
Some knowledge of physical gas trading, risk management, MTM P&L, and value at risk.
High proficiency in Excel.
Detail oriented with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members
Strong ability to multitask and integrate large amounts of complex information with the ability to focus on critical drivers
Strong level of initiative, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, works well under pressure
