Your responsibilities

  • Act as Internal Communication business partner, mostly to a defined group of Uniper business areas and functions as part of regular internal communication, but potentially covering any corporate communication topic in the case of ad-hoc events, crisis communication, or while standing in for colleagues
  • Support Uniper teams in communicating their specific content in line with the overall Uniper business and communication strategy by providing communication advisory, co-planning campaigns, and implementing corporate communication activities
  • Focus of this role will be to cover operational topics and teams, i.e., generation- and storage-related developments and projects, both for Germany and – in case of news of group-wide relevance – also for operations in other countries, then usually in cooperation with local colleagues
  • Manage and write topical news and create other communication content (e.g., imagery, videos, podcasts, digital media) for Uniper-internal publication, usually bi-lingual in English and German and if necessary, together with external partners / service providers
  • Manage news publications and other internal communication activities on Uniper’s social intranet platform Ping (Haiilo-based)
  • Promote the wider usage of Ping to Uniper teams and support further development of the platform and related systems or communication channels
  • Support the organization, preparation and execution of internal dialogue formats (e.g., UTV Live Chats) and selected internal events, including possible moderation
  • Ensure compliance with and implementation of Uniper’s brand standards in internal communication
  • Support the further development of internal communication channels and new communication formats and the effective and efficient work of the Corp. Communication & Governmental Relations (CCGR) function as a whole
  • Work closely with a wide range of Uniper business areas and functions as well as other CCGR teams to efficiently realize impactful internal communication of corporate topics

Your profile

  • Professional background in communication, alternatively in other enabling or business functions with a significant communication element
  • Several years’ experience in and passion for communication
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English with especially strong writing skills in both languages
  • Has successfully managed communication projects, also working with external partners
  • Preferably good knowledge of the Uniper organization and the energy sector
  • Proven capability to work with stakeholders on all levels and from a wide range of backgrounds
  • Proven capability to quickly learn specialist topics, including political, financial, operational and technical
  • Affinity to IT and digital media, experienced user of M365 applications, and preferably editor experience with the Haiilo social intranet platform
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international environment
  • Highly organized and capable of working on multiple tasks/projects to tight deadlines
  • Detail-focused yet also capable to assess topics from a strategic viewpoint
  • Strong personal credibility, excellent team-working skills
  • Customer- and service-oriented
  • Good sense of humour
