Your responsibilities - Regional Focus: NE/Mid-Atlantic – pipes could include, but not limited to: Algonquin, Transco, TETCO, TGP, Millenium, Eastern Gas South, etc.
- Scheduling Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the daily receipt and delivery of natural gas between suppliers and customers.
- Submits optimal and timely nominations for all pipeline and storage assets in accordance with contractual obligations and operational constraints.
- Serves as the key liaison between suppliers, pipelines, and end-users to ensure accurate nominations and that contractual commitments are fulfilled across the delivery chain.
- Enters and maintains nomination data in the systems used by relevant pipeline and storage operators.
- Monitors and tracks all physical gas movements to optimize flow, minimize transportation and storage costs, and enhance asset value.
- Ensures accurate and timely invoicing and billing of all scheduled gas volumes.
- Manages and resolves pipeline imbalances by working collaboratively with suppliers, pipelines, and other shippers to reduce, eliminate, or trade imbalances profitably.
- Builds and maintains strong, value-driven relationships with pipeline operators, storage providers, producers, and end-users.
- Identifies and pursues incremental pipeline and storage capacity opportunities to enhance trading portfolio value and profitability.
- Represents the company at industry meetings and events hosted by pipeline operators, producers, and end-users.
Your profile - Four year degree is required, preferably in finance or accounting or some technical related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience scheduling physical gas in the NE/Mid-Atlantic - pipelines and storage facilities.
- Solid understanding of natural gas fundamentals, expert knowledge of physical gas flows, including constraints on the interstate and intrastate pipeline and storage grid.
- Preferred scheduling experience on Algonquin and Transco, with secondary knowledge of Eastern Gas South, TETCO, TGP, Millenium, etc.
- Strong understanding of pipeline FERC Gas Tariffs and specific knowledge of fixed and variable rate schedules for these pipelines.
- Strong relationships with pipeline and storage operators, as well as producers and various end user markets.
- Some knowledge of physical gas trading, risk management, MTM P&L, settlement process and value at risk.
- Understanding of imbalance management.
- High proficiency in Excel and risk systems (CXL/TriplePoint and Endur).
- Detail oriented with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Strong ability to multitask and integrate large amounts of complex information with the ability to focus on critical drivers.
- Strong level of initiative, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, works well under pressure.
